Mr. Shashi Prabhu graduated in Architecture from the Bandra School of Architecture, Mumbai in 1966. Shortly thereafter, he founded the proprietary firm in 1969. His personal architectural style blossomed with the design of the Wankhede Stadium in 1972 wherein, he delivered this monumental project in just 11 months. He subsequently gained national fame with the design of Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium and Taklotara Velodrome (Indraprastha Stadium) in 1982 which was used as one of the venues for Asian Games.


In 1984, Mr. Prabhu foresaw a need to educate himself in planning of modern healthcare facilities. After visiting and studying numerous medical complexes in the USSR and USA, he implemented this knowledge in the design of numerous reputed hospitals in India such as the Lilawati Kirtilala Mehta Hospital in Mumbai, the 750-bed Thane Municipal Hospital, the 750 bed Pimpri-Chinchwad Hospital and numerous other public and private hospitals in the country. Today, under his leadership, the firm has completed over 24 hospitals in the country.


Mr. Prabhu’s deep interest in Cricket is evidenced by his designing numerous Cricket Stadiums in the country including the Dadaji Kondeo Stadium in Thane, Jullundur Stadium, Kalinga Cricket Stadium in Bhubaneshwar, Vidharbha Cricket Stadium and the most recent Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hydrabad. The last sports project completed by the firm was the renovation of the Wankhede Stadium which hosted the World Cup in 2010.


Mr. Prabhu is a Fellow Member of the Indian Institute of Architects, a Fellow Institute of Engineers (India) and a Member of Council of Architecture INDIA. Among Mr. Prabhu’s honours include being member of numerous prestigious institutions such as the Slum Development Authority of Govt. of Maharashtra in addition to being a Consultant to Maharashtra State


Financial Corporation, State Industrial & Investment Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd. Municipal Corporation of Mumbai, Municipal Corporation of Thane, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Municipal Corporation of Jullandar, Municipal Corporation of Surat and Municipal Corporation of Gondia.
